Hey I had the most fun day ever. Unfortunately it was Mart’s last full day. We went to the Podocarpus National Park and it was just….dang….beautiful. And a hummingbird landed on my backpack and rested on my fingers, twice!!!!!! And Mart and I were equally just….you know, elated at the beauty! I hour 15 minutes from here is the entrance to the Jototoco part – the amazing birds called jototocos. We had brought Mart’s running sandals down to the zapatero, the shoemaker, to have his soles reinstored, so luckily they were done just in time to hike with them! The reason he came to Ecuador – to have his soul restored!
