Herbal Disinfectant for Dogs

I am so happy with Tiko’s healing, finally! You know, the pus was still coming, after three weeks! The doc wanted him to come back in, after I sent him pics, to start antiobiotics and antiinflammatories again. I really  didn’t want to. Luckily, my new friend, Miriam, who works at my guests’ house, had the same problem with her dog, she said! A huge abscess, same size! She gave me these herbs to wash him with. Guess what. The next morning there was no more abscess, no more blood, no more pus. Whoa!!

Recipe of the Day – Herbal Disinfectant, Antinflammatory Dog Wash

1 stem Martiño! With leaves and buds OR

1 stem manzanilla (chamomile), with the  flowers

1 leaf Geranillo

1 pot water

Directions: Bring the water almost to a boil. Turn off the heat and let sit for 20 minutes. Take a washcloth and soak it in the tea. Do  not wring dry. Wash your dog’s infection and let it air dry. Repeat at least twice a day, or as needed to clean the area.

Word of the Day – manzanilla – chamomile

Tip of the Day – Use the martiño, but if you don’t have it, use a mix of the other two. You can drink this tea, too, humans can, to calm your nerves! You might need to when your dog gets something like this!
