R’s Sunflower Smoothie

Gosh, it’s been so great to be with each of my family member’s houses, take part in their lives, and see what healthy, independently wonderful people they are. Each person, at the 3 houses I’ve been to so far, handed me a glass or two of water as I arrived, suggested grounding and resting techniques to recover from flying, and handed me a green smoothie everyday. One house makes them with oats, one with almond butter, and one with sunflower seed butter. Each person and each smoothie – all incredibly delcious.

Recipe of the Day – Sunflower Smoothie
Ingredients:

1 T. Sunflower seed butter

1/2 c. Green juice

1 banana

2 big handfuls spinach

1 handful blueberries

several large strawberries

1 T. Chia seeds

1 tsp. Hemp seeds

1/4 tsp. Maca

1 tsp. Spirulina

Directions:

Blend.

Word of the Day – descansa – rest

Tip of the Day – To ground after flying, drink a big glass of water, take off your shoes and stand in the grass or dirt for 15 minutes. Rest when pulled to.
