Oh…Henry Bars

These are drawings my daughter did while she was here: me washing my hair in the front hose, and her holding the towel. One of my favorite ways to wash, because the water is always an ambient, perfect and hot temperature in the afternoon. The other pic is all the food she liked!

Recipe of the Day – Oh, Henry Bars

4 c. oats

1 c. Mighty Fast Applesauce – see recipe this blog

dash salt

1 pinch vanilla powder of 1/2 tsp. vanilla

1 c. peanut or almond butter

1 c. chocolate pieces

Stir the first five ingredients together, and press into a 9 x 13″ cake pan.You can bake these at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes, or dehydrate them in the dehydrator at 105 degrees for 4 hours. Melt the nut butter and chocolate and pour over all. Chill. But they’re awfully good now!

Word of the Day – cuadras – art pieces

Tip of the Day – These have been a big hit in my family for over thirty years. I used to make them for my children, when I wanted them to have oats in their diet. They would sure gobble them up fast, and even ask for them when they came home from college, or make them themselves!

  1. How much do you charge per night for a couple who would like to share your meals and hunker down when it is very hot on the coast (January – March)?

    1. Hi Barbara, The cost for the room or the cottage is $32 per night. But a month for two people would be $275 per month.
How many meals would you want prepared for you, 3 per day? Meals are $3 per person per day. Let me know how I can help!
