I saw the mot mot! Finally, and first time for months, since I moved into the big house. He was right outside the worker’s area last night, not ten feet from the kitchen window. Just sitting there, so I could take a good look at him. Large, green body, long dark , split tail, with a blue, sparkling crown. He was here the very first day I awoke in my little cottage on this land. I woke up to a curtain-less window, and laying on by back stared straight into the eyes of the mot mot. I knew this was a blessed, magical place. W, the gardener, says they are rare, and found in the thick trees in the mountains.
