Oh, Fudge

Okay, now, instead of buying a chocolate smoothie every time I go in to town, I carry one with me! I have such a profusion of berries, and the cacao is so reasonable ($2 a bag), so the smoothie costs me about 10 cents, if I have to buy a banana. Which I often don’t, I am gifted with them so much by workers! One of my friend’s said mine is better than the Juice Factory’s! (See recipe this blog, Chocolate Berry Smoothie)

Recipe of the Day – Ecuadorian Fudge


3 c. dark Ecuadorian chocolate
1 c. strawberries
1 c. raw cacao powder
1 c. sprouted hazelnuts (soaked one day, sprouted one day)
1/2 c. melted cacao butter or coconut oil
1/4 c. raw agave syrup, coconut syrup or honey
dash salt

Process all together in the food processor until it forms a ball. Chill in a small rectangular pan or cupcake papers.

Word of the Day – monton – mountain (plenty of)

Tip of the Day – If you don’t have hazelnuts in your area, you could  substitute peanut butter for a high protein snack with a  peanut-butter-and-jelly taste.
