One of my lovely guests placed a jar of chocolate something on the counter. "What is that!" I asked!
"Mamjar, from Cuenca," he announced with a flourish, opening the lid and putting a little bit on a spoon for me to taste. "The best you ever had," and he was right, wow! Much better than the American hazelnut chocolate paste in the jar. I can't remember what it's called. Here's a bit healthier verion.
Recipe of the Day - Mamjar
1 liter almond milk
4 T. yucca starch
1 c. coconut milk
1/4 c. cacao powder
3 drops liquid stevia or 1/4 c. panela
Plum to decorate
Mix the first five ingredients and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Place in a bowl and garnish with plums.
