Valentine Brownie Hearts

About a year ago, all the women’s walking group went to this beautiful place in San Pedro, a river walk which ends at Las Truchas – The Trout, Restaurant. And all this time I’ve wanted to go there. So my friend took me for Saint Valentine’s Day! Beautiful flowers all around, wow, and people catching fish for their dinner from the fish enclosures.Valentine's Day at Las Truchas

Recipe of the Day – Valentine Brownie Hearts

Ingredients:
1/2 c. sprouted almonds
1/4 c. mesquite powder, or lucuma
3 T. cacao nibs
1/2 tsp. himalayan or sea salt
Next,
2 T. Coconut oil
1 pinch vanilla powder.

Last:
1 c. cherries

1/2 c. soaked dates (save the water to moisten the dough, if needed.)

Directions:
Process the first 4 ingredients until mixture is crumbly. Add the coconut oil and vanilla and process again. Next, add the cherries and dates, and process again.Press into parchment-lined heart molds. Chill/Freeze for 10 minutes or more.
