Wheatgrass Papaya Smoothie

As I headed out the front door, what hit was a sudden happy realization that my kitchen sink would be in and usable tonight! I turned around to see Jose’s smiling face looking at me, as if he knew what I was thinking! And he came on a Saturday! Again.

Recipe of the Day – Wheatgrass Papaya Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 cup frozen papaya

1 frozen banana

1 apple, juiced

2 handfuls wheatgrass, juiced

1 c. lemon tea

Directions: Juice the apple and wheatgrass. Then add to the blender with the rest of the ingredients. (If you don’t have wheatgrass, you can use green super-powder)

Word of the Day – liquadora – blender

Tip of the Day – There is always a debate about which is better for you – the highly digestible, immediate availability of the juice, or the great fiber of the blended juice. It’s nice when you can do them both and combine them!
