Honeyed Walnuts

I have a door on my bedroom woohoo! Came home from teaching Tai Chi Day to find a door on my bedroom and a kitchen sink, with the counter all tiled, whoa! No more doing dishes outside like I’m camping, nice! And hot water from the Solar Tank! Which works amazing, by the way.


Recipe of the Day – Honeyed Walnuts


  • 2 c. walnuts, chopped
  • 4 T. honey
  • Pinch of coarse salt
  • pinch cayenne


Put the walnuts in a bag and pour honey over. Add salt and cayenne, then shake bag thoroughly. Put on dehydrator-sheet lined racks and dehydrate 105 degrees for 24 hour or until warm and crispy. Try not to start eating them before that or you’re in big trouble!

Word of the Day – crujiente – crispy

Tip of the Day – These are one of the cheaper nuts here, besides manis – peanuts. So make 4 batches, you’ll be glad you did, they are so addicting.
