No-Cheese Cheesy Fondue

Guess what I just got to use? My own bathroom. Guess what I get to do tonight? Not go “camping” in the middle of the night, or share the one in the cottage but use my own, my very own bathroom. Although, I did kinda like not using all that water all the time!

Recipe of the Day – Non-dairy Cheesy Fondue

A good cheese fondue is usually made with wine and cheese. This is much healthier, but warm and comforting, creamy and delicious.


1 c. cashews
1 yellow/orange bell pepper
1/4 c. kombucha
3 T. nutritional yeast (optional – not raw)
2 T. agar agar or psyllium seed mixed with 4 T. water
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. onion pdr.
1/2 tsp. garlic pdr.
1/2 heaping tsp. turmeric

Directions: Blend.  Blend twice to warm. Serve with raw crackers and veges: carrots, cucumber,broccoli, celery and sugar peas work well! Warm gently and pour into fondue pot.

Word of the Day – super – super

Tip of the Day – Cashews are super expensive here, but it’s worth the expense sometimes to keep you healthy. No other nut does the same as the cashew, for this recipe, although they’re all good.
