I could hear the horses neighing across the fence, softly neighing all night, just once in awhile. But curiously, I didn’t hear Tiko all night, or sense his presence even. I figured he must be sleeping on our side of the fence, talking to one of the horses, as they were doing nose-to-nose last evening. And as I was watering this morning, calling Tiko once-in-awhile, there he was, laying outside the front gate. Outside? Tiko! Searching the perimeter I found where he’d bent the little gate near the garden to get out. At least he stayed close! The horses were chewing all the leaves off my living fence, so Tiko and I took them back to their field. Tiko loves it when he has a “real” job.
