M’s Sprouted Oat Crackers

My friend S, says, “Let’s meet after meditation at noon, I am leading that, would you like to come for meditation? Or just meet at Agave Blue?”  I’ve been thinking what a nice invitation that is, to come for meditation. It’s free, its fantastic, and its at the most wonderful meditation place, where I teach Tai Chi and Soodie teaches Yoga. Sometimes no one comes, which is THE BEST, as the silence is wonderful. And then we’ll go to lunch!

Recipe of the Day – M’s Sprouted Oat Cracker

Ingredients:

-1/3 of a ½ gallon Mason jar full of raw rolled oats, soaked, drained and sprouted if possible
¾-1 c. of raw sesame seeds, soaked for an hour at least, drained and ground with a cup or so of water to make tahini

1 – 1 1/4 c. water
2 cloves garlic
1+ lemon (all the juice and a little of the rind)
2 soaked Medjool dates
1 stalk celery

Directions:

Fill the rest of your Blend Tec or Vitamix holding the oats with shredded carrots and zucchini.
Add enough water to keep the blender from overheating but not enough to make it watery – about 1 to 1 ¼ cups. That’s it. Spread out on 3 dehydrator sheets and cook on 104 degrees until thoroughly dry. Flip them over halfway through the time period if you are around; no big deal.

Word of the Day – meditación – meditation

Tip of the Day – Do it. Meditate. Anywhere, anytime. When I meditate on the street, waiting for a taxi, I realize a person is passing and has the nicest smile on her face. Or in front of the Vet’s, waiting for Tiko, same thing. And the people are waiting to say hi, and they look so friendly and so fun.
